Previous Sunday Morning Bird Walk Count Summaries:

The Sunday Morning Bird Walks started in the 1940's. Birders of all skill levels are welcome!

We begin every week at the Anita Purves Center parking lot and then decide whether to walk into Crystal Lake Park or Busey Woods. The walks continue until around 9 - 9:30am, although some birders in the group may continue later into the morning, especially when the birding is good.

See Greg Lambeth's presentation about the birds of Crystal Lake Park and Busey Woods These parks play host to 36 species of warblers every spring as well as large numbers of vireos, thrushes, orioles and tanagers. Greg provides a photographic tour through both spring and fall migrants in the parks.

Bird walks are held on Sunday mornings during the spring and fall migration seasons: March-May & September-October.
