Happy 2023, friends of CCAS!

Despite many changes in 2022, we were delighted to see so many of you at our programs and events and are so grateful for the generous contributions that make our education and conservation projects possible!

Last year, our Sunday Morning Bird Walks (begun 75+ years ago!) remained our most popular events. We also hosted three great field trips and ten additional events, including collaborative outreach with the East Central Illinois Master Naturalists and the Champaign County Forest Preserve District. Our monthly programs hosted five special guest speakers; if you missed them, you can watch at your leisure on our YouTube page. Through all of our programs, we served over 1,000 people, hopefully including you!

In 2022, your generous membership donations helped fund a number of local projects, including:

Every project pursued and grant awarded in 2022 is thanks to the generous contributions of members just like you! In 2023, we hope to grow so we can focus on new conservation projects and initiatives that will benefit the greater Central Illinois community. We currently have multiple open positions on our leadership board, so consider joining us and contributing your skills!

As always, we thank you for your continued dedication to our mission and we look forward to serving you for another year!
